I love to record what I see. It is a record of my curiosity and excitement of things and places I have not seen or seen again for the first time. I like to think that my seeing improves every time I look. I have the need to see from all angles and record in a way that best represents the subject. I love to find this in nature but sometimes it is in what we leave behind that becomes interesting and the stories that could ultimately go with it. Photography stops all time and motion, but carries an essence that sustains beyond a physical image. A simple image of a tree tells more than just of its branches, but of a life of events over a hundred years. The images teach us of patience, of time and history, and wisdom. They are mysteries that hold secrets in which we can only imagine.
